We had already said in previous articles that the city is ready! But not only the city, we had an opportunity to spend the day watching the rehearsals and we could see that everything is operational at this year's Eurovision event!
Perhaps because the next door building (FIL - Lisbon international fair) was already reserved when Portugal won, it was necessary to install tents around the Portugal Pavilion, where the Press Center is located. These are the main spots we visited:
Press Center - It worked well and it´s operational, but it looks like it might be a bit small! No problem! The organization had already anticipated this and the doors will be opened to another room that will double it's size. Press room for everyone with wireless.
There is a room prior to the press center where the piegon holes are available. Here are available cafes and water and a Visit Portugal stand.
Fan zone - A Go natural brand food can be found there with healthy food! There are seats on couches to watch the events through two screens. There's also a fan desk! The place is nice and comfortable.
Press conferences - The press conference area is quite large with more seats available than you might imagine at first glance since the chairs are snapped together. Although it looks small but is quite long. The presenters (Pedro Penim and Pedro Granger) are well-known fans of Eurovision and while actors are dynamic, good speakers and quite funny.
All the staff are very knowledgeable of the English language, it is obvious that everyone is well trained and the sympathy is immense: from the volunteers to the security agents. Everything is well prepared to welcome and make the fans and the press feel welcome. Just as Portugal knows how to do so well!
