The biggest party in Portugal dedicated to the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) in 12th September 2009 happened in Setúbal.
It was an initiative promoted by OGAE – Portugal and Setúbal Municipality. EurovisionOnTop was the official partner of the event.
At the José Afonso Auditorium, right in the city centre, the organisation was able to welcome more than 1,500 people.
Equipped with bars, open air sitting spaces, sound and light, “the organisation recreated a night of entertainment, Eurovision party-style, for ESC fans, the local population and some national and foreign artists, former Eurovision Song Contest participants, who accepted to come and be at the party.
Presented by Kristian Rodic (Serbia), the show of the party featured a group of dancers coreographed by Joana Raposo. The DJ was DJ Ohrmeister from Munich (Germany).
The Eurovision Party – Portugal 2009 was an evening full of entertainment, remembering the great hits of the Eurovision Song Contest and promoting an event that keeps gaining more fans each year.
In the afternoon a tour for fans an artist happened, around the Arrábida Nature Park and its beaches, Albarquel Urban Park, and the renowned wine cellars of Azeitão where world-famous and much awarded Setúbal Moscatel wine is produced.
There was also a welcome party in the night before the Party, at Lounge Coffee for welcome artists, press and fans.
