The official opening of Eurovision will happen today with the Orange Carpet (last year in Lisbon it was Blue) at Habima Square in Tel Aviv, where this year's artists will parade and many Met Gala style outfits will circulate.
The Met Gala happened last week in New York and of course, it was spoken by the outfits the American stars used. The Met Gala 2019 theme was "Camp: Notes on Fashion." Like it or not, galas like this will be immortalized in photos that show eccentricity, power and creativity.
And here in Europe, at the most Camp Show of the Year, Eurovision, fans are the most critical! In fact, there is even a website that awards the prize "Barbara Dex Award" where the worst dressed Eurovision is awarded. This week, fans become fashion and creativity critics where sometimes they do not let people's creativity fly. What is different is often called horrible what is most appealing is sometimes ridiculed.
Yes, in this Eurovision where a woman with a beard is idolized and where it is appealed to difference and respect sometimes fans are the most cruel. Complicated this way of thinking and understanding the others! Everything is relative but let's remember the concept of Eurovision - Peace and Tolerance. Stop a bit to think, how would you go to Eurovision if you had to draw attention and to appeal to the vote in this increasingly visual event? Nobody is forced to like the way others dress but please, respect!
Happy Eurovision to all! Enjoy Eurovision!

"Bjorn Ulvaeus has updated fans on when fans can expect to hear new music the group have been working on.
The group revealed almost one year ago they had been back in the studio for the first time in over 35 years, working on music for the long-delayed ABBA avatar tour project. Two song titles have been confirmed, I Still Have Faith In You and Don't Shut Me Down.
Bjorn told Denmark’s Ekstra Bladet newspaper that fans can expect to hear a brand-new ABBA song "in September or October".
Member Benny Andersson recently said legal compilations had pushed back the virtual tour and therefore the new music. He also teased the possibility of a third new ABBA song - or possibly even an entire new album." Official Charts (03 April 2019)

Eurovision is not just a thing of new artists. Every year there are several who want to repeat the experience already lived in previous years. In the race for Tel Aviv there is no exception. Despite the rumors that have circulated about artists who have intended to return but have withdrawn their applications, especially in Romania, many are betting heavily on their returns. These are some of them:
Sandra Nurmsalu will be competing in the first semifinal of Eesti Laul, next January 31st with the song "Soovide puu". Sandra represented her country with Urban Symphony in 2009 and finished 6th in the grand final.
Friðrik Ómar (2008 ), is back with "Hvað ef ég get ekki elskað?" and Hera Bjork is back again with "Eitt andartak". They will be performing in the 2nd and 1st semifinal of Söngvakeppnin, respectively. Hera ended up finishing 19th with 41 points in 2010 and Fridrik with Eurobandið ended 14th in the final with "This is my Life". Fridrik once again participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2009 as a backing-vocalist in the Icelandic entry performed by Yohanna.
Mørland with "En livredd mann" is trying to comeback to Eurovision after A Monster like me in 2015 with which he placed 8th.
Anna Bergendahl will sing "Ashes to Ashes" in the first semifinal of Melodifestivalen 2019. Anna had a huge success in Sweden with her ESC entry from 2010 despite she was unable to qualify for the final. Arvingarna will also be back with "I Do" (semifinal 4) trying to repeat the success of Eloise in 1993, 7th place. Martin Stenmarck will sing "Låt skiten brinna" in the third semifinal of the swedish contest. He represented Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest 2005 with "Las Vegas", finishing 19th. The competition will be held between 2 February 2019 and 9 March 2019.
Il Volo finished third in 2015 but are now back with "Musica che resta". The final of San Remo Festival will be on the 9th of February.
The first returning name confirmed to ESC is Serhat. Celebrating its tenth year in the Eurovision Song Contest, San Marino RTV invited Serhat to represent the country again. He participated in 2016 as well, when he represented the small republic with the song 'I Didn't Know'. We will see him again in Tel Aviv!
