Special Radio Awards for Zdravko Colic

Zdravko Colic is for sure the biggest artist from former Yugoslavia, spanning all generations. To prove it and as a way of recognizing it, he just received two awards by Naxi Radio. Zdravko Colic received the most significant radio award, Naxi Zvijezda for all time artist. The award is given in several categories, and the Naxi Star award for all time speaks of the timeless significance of individuals, whose overall work has become part of the heritage of generations.

Naxi Radio listeners also awarded him the "Naxi Star Award for Concert of the Year" (

According to, despite all delayed or cancelled concerts due to coronavirus, Zdravko has been working in new songs and like his last 5 or 6  albums, he will start with his own ideas and then will include new collaborators. For when new material? Let's hope soon when the pandemic is over! 

AWARDS 2020: announcement

The end of 2019 is coming and we are ready to announce one more edition of the Eurovision On Top AWARDS to highlight the best work of the year from your favourite ESC artists.

Once more, we will put to the vote six nominees for each of the eight categories. This time, it was our editorial office that chose the nominees. Doing the math we come to the conclusion that it is Latvian Intars Busulis and Serbian Zdravko Colic who lead the nominations. 4 each.


They are followed by Celine Dion, the Norwegian musicians Secret Garden who returned this year, Mahmood, Ilse De Lange and the Moldovan Zdob si Zdub, with 3 nominations. 

The deadline for voting is the 8th of January and you can do it here, from the 27 of December.

José Cid receives Latin Grammy Award

Next November, José Cid will receive a Latin Grammy Award for Musical Excellence. This award is given to artists who have made contributions of exceptional artistic significance to Latin music. According to the Latin Academy, Eva Ayllón, Joan Baez, Lupita D'Alessio, Hugo Fattoruso, Pimpinela, Omara Portuondo and José Luis Rodríguez “El Puma” will also receive this award.

José Cid's work is recognized by everyone in Portugal, not only for his participation in several National Festivals and for his participation in Eurovision 1980 but especially for his songs that passed through several generations. The artist remains a success selling out concerts and gigs. For the most distracted, remember that his album 10.000 Anos Depois Entre Vénus e Marte (1978) is considered one of the best progressive rock in the world and the first hard-to-find vinyl editions can reach very high values ​​in the market.

Other portuguese eurovision artists also have some Grammy connections, in 2014, fado singer Carlos do Carmo was awarded with a Latin Grammy Career Award and Sara Tavares was nominated in 2018 for her album Fitxadu.

Conan Osiris: Best new artist at PLAY Awards

The PLAY Awards happened tonight at Coliseu dos Recreios in Lisbon and it's the first ceremony to distinguish the best from Portuguese music.

Conan Osiris, the portuguese representative in Tel Aviv won the Best Newcomer Award. Conan Osiris was recognized because of his album Adoro Bolos which was released in the last day of 2017.

Dino Santiago (Interval Act of ESC2018 ) was the big winner of the night getting 3 Awards: Best Album; Best Artist; Critics Award.

Carlos do Carmo (Eurovision 1976) won the Career Award, the same tribute as he did some years ago at the Latin Grammy's Awards.

In the International section, Kendrick Lamar won the Best International and the Best Song Award.

The song of the year as chosen by you is the song that can represent the taste of our readers. All the winning songs became classics!

Michal Szpak and Zdravko Colic were the only contenders nominated for the 3rd time. Szpak won in 2017 and Colic in 2018. All the others were nominated for the first time. These are the results:
