This year the season seemed to take a lot of time to start. But now, end of January the machines for the selection of songs started their engines and we are getting more and more representatives and songs.
This week we can present you more artist and more songs.
1. UK - when a danish winner works with a british talent
Less people spoke after the UK slection about the fact that since a long time UK is sending a former eurovision winner to the contest. Emmelie the Forrest is one of the song writers of the british entree this year.
The singer is Lucie Jones an other former X factor singer in the eurovision contest. And as a welsh young lady maybe she can show to the world the power of this UK part, like the men did during the european soccer championship last summer.
Her song could be a kind of statement of the eurovision community about the UK entries of the last years. Maybe that was also the sign the executive supervisor of the EBU Ole Sand wanted to send to the audience, being part of the same on during the show.
2. Finland - sends a powerful dark balade
Norma John is the finish duo who will perform the finish song of 2017 - the start of the song rememebers a bit Anouk's song in 2013. The balade is dark and very lightful, powerful at the same time.
3. Georgia - the land with the biggest surprises in the last years
Georgia had in the last years mybe the most diverse kind of performances. Is it a kind of brave competition spirit or maybe more representing the musical taste of this country?
"Keep the faith" - is the title of the song this year. Maybe a statement that this country keep's the faith to win some day this contest.
This year it is Tako Gachechiladze who will will powerful fight to make this happen.
4. Belarus - Folk for europe
Belarus in the last years ended the scandals after national selections. This year they send a fresh, national, folk song.
NAVI is the name of the band and it could work very well in the neighbour country Ukraine with that tipical folk song.
This are so far all new songs of the last days and weeks.
In the next week we will present "the artists without a song" - all representatives we missed to present to you, which till now are waiting for their songs to be announced.

Monstereophonic (Theaterror v. Demonarchy) is the title of the new album from Mr. Lordi and friends!
Keeping the same sound as always, before and after taking part (and winning) Eurovision at 2006, the band is ready for their European Tour. From October they will be touring Austria, Slovakia, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, Netherlands, Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Italy, France Ireland and the UK.
And if this big tour is still not convincing you why they win Eurovision, the band will start an American and Canadian Tour from February.
The new album is #10 in Finland, #52 in Germany and #83 in Switzerland! In case you want to have a look on the album, you might check the two versions of the first single "Hug You Hardcore", the censored and the uncensored (the one we present you below - you need to register or open your youtube account):
The tracklist of the new album is as follow:

Whatever we may think, Eurovision is no longer only a song contest. No matter the importance of the stagging, the dresses and the song, Eurovision is now closer to a performative arts contest.
After lots of rehearsals and work behind each participating team, everything must be perfect for the Big event, lights, dress, make up, coreography, voice and all the details needed for the best performance of a lifetime!
Pity that not everything can result as the team wish. Sometimes because of the artist, sometimes because of the movements or sometimes because the dresses are proper for winning the Barbara Dex Award. Most of the times we don't notice those little mistakes in the performances but when we do it, it is something that no eurofan will forget!
This year, we choose 5 (Perfect) Imperfections from this year contest as seen on TV. This is the TOP 5!
If you are enjoying the voice and the song of Dami Im you won't notice anything, but if you watched the rehearsal two days before the contest you knew that she wasn't going to be seated during all the song.
There's one second in which you see two men running on stage.
Juri was last on his semi final. On TV we saw him very nervous and trying to do some magic numbers with cards.
Well... his tricks were so predictable that he would never got a ticket for the next round of Got Talent.
The astronaut from Moldova was not the first in Eurovision as we saw some in 2013 coming from Montenegro. During the performance, the astronaut dances around the singer and just before the end, he opened his diving dress and... Oops!!! We saw his acreditation! Did he simply forgot it? or was he saying to all the non-acreditated fans and press "I got it!" ?
It's obvious that Sergey and his team worked and worked and worked to make a perfect presentation but after all their work all the viewers saw on TV some things that were avoidable.
Of course you can use your imagination but was it Sergey with wings or the shadow of Sergey with wings? Maybe a simple lightning system would have changed it.
All the viewers on TV noticed the irregularity on the screen behind Sergey. Was it necessary? Maybe, but it doensn't looked ok.
Apparently everything was good on the performance of Sandhja, at least visually. Energy, good vibe and a nice song to start the show!
That's our favourite perfect imperfection, and for us, the perfect imperfection of the year! Not because of Sandhja but due to one of her backing vocals! The frozen frame won't show what we felt when we watched it. we recommend you to watch it and repeat it, and watch it again and again!
What was that jumping bulge? Her T-shirt? Watch it and take your conclusions!
Remember that Nobody's perfect! So we don't!

She will open the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 in Stockholm. Sandhja represents Finland with the song "sing it away". A nice tempo song to open the contest this year. It's always hard to sing on the starting position, but ir will be even harder to do it opening the contest and for sure because of the competition within this semi final.
Eurovision had the chance to get some answers of Sandhja about her participation at Eurovision.
How did you end up being a musician?
I have always known that I wanted to be an artist. It is strange to think how a 4-year old can be so sure of their career choice. I followed my dream consistently throughout my life; I was singing since I was a child and as a teenager I started to write poems that ultimately developed into songs. At 18 I met my producer and started making music professionally. I made a recording deal with Sony a couple of years later and published my debut album at the age of 23. My second album is going to be released at the end of April 2016.
What are your biggest musical influences?
I have always looked up to strong women singing blues, soul and folk. I started out as a child singing mainly gospel and old soul. Artists, such as Aretha Franklin, Janis Joplin and Tracy Chapman are my inspiration.
How did the idea to participate in the UMK came to you?
The idea to participate in UMK came from my A&R from Sony. I have always been apprehensive about participating in any kind of music competitions, because of my sensitivity. But this time I felt that I was ready to face the challenges that a competition like this presents.
How did it feel like when you won the UMK in Finland?
At first I couldn't believe it, I felt so proud of myself and my team. It felt like the hard work that had been done years prior to this competition was now paying off. It was a very emotional day!
The next step is Stockholm. What can we expect from you there?
I'm bringing the same up-beat energy, laughter and joy on stage to Stockholm that what I had in UMK. We are going to have a more interactive coreography with the back-up singers and, if possible, even more fun
Do you plan to make changes to your song?
No changes are made to the song, at least at this point.
What will be your contribution as an artist to Eurovision?
I want to bring happiness to the people. I hope that the joy and unity that we have on stage with the girls will resonate in the viewers at home and in the audience.
What is behind the song? What is it about?
Sing It Away is a song about shedding away your troubles and rising to the top. It talks about helping a friend out in times of need and about the healing properties of music and singing.
You have released a debut album “Gold” few years ago, when can we expect a second album?
My second album, called Freedom Venture, is scheduled to be released on the 29th of April. I'm so excited about it!
What is your biggest dream?
My biggest dream is to be able to make music my main career and expand my talents as a songwriter and learn about music production. In the future I would like to help other up-and-coming artists in their journey.
Can you tell us more about your hobbies and how do you spend your free time?
I love being in nature and spending time with my friends. I enjoy going out dancing to afro parties and going to see good gigs! My free time consists of mainly music, dancing, friends and good food.
You have an Indian-Guyanese mother. How did your exotic blood influence your music?
My Indian roots have a huge influence in me as a person, which affects my music. Some rhythms and sounds are directly ethnically influenced, but mainly the influence lies in my personality and not in my music.
Eurovision on top will like alwyas follow Sandja on her way in Stockholm and will keep you updated about her participation and her career.

Synnyin, elän, kuolen is the title of the future new album of Hanna Pakarinen.
The first single is originally a Swedish folk song. The video is a tribute to Finnish women and the song is perhaps more relevant today than ever before.
The concert for the album release will be next 15/04/2016 at the SAVOY-TEATTERI, Helsinki.
