1. Returns in 2016: Bosnia, Croatia, Bulgaria and Ukraine will be back!
Bosnia was the last time in 2012 (Baku) at the contest and missed during the last years in due to financial issues. But with the support of a new sponsor the national broadcaster BHRT announced the return in 2016.
Croatia had the last participation in 2013 (Malmö missed the final and missed afterwards two times at the contest. But in 2016 also Croatia will be back, so the news of HRT.
Bulgaria just hosted successfully the junior eurovision and last years second place and because Italy passed the possibility to host the junior to the second placed. Perhaps this was one of the reasons for the national broadcaster BNT to return to the contest.
Ukraine is one of the most successful nations at the contest and participated for the last time 2014 in Copenhagen, the year when the conflict in the home country began. NTU now announced also the return of Ukraine, what was kind of little surprise as there was a lot of doubts, if it would be a priority to this country to join the contest, having to handle so much challenges in the own boarders. But there is no doubt that Ukraine will enrich the contest!
2. Kaliopi will return to eurovision and sing for FYR Macedonia
It was in 2012 (Baku) that Kaliopi sang for FYR Macedonia and it was the best qualification ever for this eurovision country making the 13th place.
FYR Macedonia started in 1996 to participate and was represented by the same Kaliopi, just the result was worser, making the 26th of 29th place.
So it will be the third time for the very known and famous Kaliopi.
Eurovision will let you updated as soon as there will be any details about the song.
3. A trio with one eurovision experienced artist is the bosnian mix for 2016
"In the disco" was the sound of Bosnia & Herzegovina in 2004. The sound of next years isn't known yet just the fact that Bosnia & Herzegovina will return and that the broadcaste already selected the three names, who will representing the country.
Dalal Midhat Talakić, Fuad Backović-Deen and Ana Rucner are the three.
Fuad Backović-Deen was the singer of the entree in 2004 and already has eurovision experiences. Ana Rucner is a known cellist.
Eurovision on top will follow the further announcements of the national broadcaster and inform you as soon as there will be details about the song and the performance.
4. Will it be a new record!? - 43 or 44!?
This week the EBU announced the participation of 43 countries, what would be the old record, which already was reached in 2008 and 2011. But there are still rumors in the internet that perhaps there will be one more country joining (Slovakia!?) and finally make 2016 to the contest with the new record of participating countries.

Daniel Kajmakoski won the Skopje Festival 2014 at the last 12th november 14. Daniel will defend his song and fight for his country to get a ticket for the final, which happened in 2012 for the last time - before that it was in 2007. Daniel won the first X Factor Adria in 2014; the balkan version of X Factor. In the jury there was also an other former and successful Eurovision participant, the serbian singer Zeljko Joksimovic.
But there are two more interesting facts about Daniel Kajmakoski: Vienna will be a home game for him, as he lives in Vienna since he was 6 and an other interesting fact is his participation at the austrian casting show Starmania in 2003. The most interesting point on that isn't the 8th place he made, but yes that he is the 4th artist participating at Eurovision out of this castingshow. He is following Eric Papilaya (Austria 2007 - 27th place in SF), Nadine Beiler (Austria 2011 - 18th place) and Tom Neuwirth alias Conchita Wurst (Winner of 2014) from the Starmania stage to the Eurovision stage. Along the time, former Starmania participants started to made better results at Eurovision, with the highlight of Conchita's victory.
Eurovision on top had the chance to speak to Daniel and make some interesting questions about Vienna, Conchita and his participation. Check out if Daniel will sleep in a hotel or if the delegation will be at his place in Vienna during Eurovision. This and other answers be in our interview.
1.First of all congratulations for winning the X Factor Adria. What did that victory mean to you?
The winning is a dream come true. It’s almost one year since the winning and it still sometimes seams unreal. After many tries, ups and downs, finally to get through the music world.
2.In november you won the national final of FYR Macedonia. Comparing with the X Factor was it easier to win that competition? And which of the two victories is more important for you?
Can’t compare it for sure. Its different type of competition.
One is breaking through, the other – national final is the moment when you see how much people do support you and trust you – they pick YOU for representing your country! Both of them are priceless experiences and moments!
3.Who is Daniel Kajmakoski? How would you describe yourself to someone, who never saw or heard about you?
A regular guy who only believed that is worth to give one last try in music . Its good to know that Daniel also loves sport and nature. Loves spending time with family and friend because that relaxes. He is also loves artists like Tose Proeski, Stevie Wonder, David Phelps. . .
4.You moved to Austria as a child. What was the reason for that and how did that fact marked your live?
My parents moved with a hope for better life and future for their children. Back then I was 7 years old. It was a huge change for me, it was new neighborhood, new school, friends and new language. It took me some time to be accepted by the other classmates and to feel equal.
5.Do you still live in Vienna? So what will that mean to you being performing in the city you live or lived for a long time?
The last year I am on this relation –Skopje – Belgrade – Vienna. Its really unbelievable fact for me – I went to Balkans to compete regional show, won, get a chance to compete national festival back in my home country and now going back to Vienna – the place where I grow up.
6.You also were part of the 2003 Starmania participants. Some of them already made it to Eurovision and most of them with success, including the victory last year. What do you think is the reason of the participation of so many former Starmania participants? And do you think you will follow them on the path of success?
Hahahahha. You never know actually. I am glad of my colleagues who reached far and I Conchita deserved to win. She is a strong vocal and had a great team. I can only say I am preparing and hoping for the best.
7.Did you follow the Eurovision ever before?
For sure. Since I was a little boy. It was some king of tradition in my family to watch it all together. Always picking up favorite songs and watching the big stage with excitement.
8.The best result ever for FYR Macedonia was a 13th place in 2012 by Kaliopi in Baku. Do you think you will be able to make a better one?
Must say that Crno I Belo is one of my favorite songs when it comes to Macedonia national selection. Can I make it? I want to, I am preparing, and aspiring and hoping for the best result!
9.Last year there weren't just good reactions about Conchita Wurst‘s victory. What was your thought, when you heard that Austria won the contest?
I was kind of expecting that to happen.
Beside the personal story of Conchita, she is a strong vocal, and had a great song. I know that she worked really hard with her team to make the song the best possible way. Right know I am working with the same people for my eurovision song. It’s an interesting coincidence.
10. How are you preparing for the Eurovision Song Contest?
First of all making improvements in the song, almost finished, gathering the team, planning promotion . . .
11. And will you be with the FYR Macedonia delegation in the hotel or will the delegation be at your place in Vienna?
good one ! I prefer to stay in the hotel with all the participants, to meet them all and establish communication, but for sure will gather people back in my place.
12. What are your plans for the time after Eurovision?
After eurovosion is the birth of my very first solo album! Cant wait to share it with all of you!
If performing in Vienna really will be a home game for Daniel or not will be seen in Vienna and commented by us in our special „Beside the stage“. Honest, different and live from Vienna.

The musical session of Eurovision 2015 officially open! Eurovision 2015 has his first song! It was the fourth artist, who was known for the Contest in Vienna, but the first artist, who already has his song. Daniel Kajmakoski won the Skopje Festival 2014 at the last 12th november. Daniel will defend his song and fight for his country to get a ticket for the final, which happened in 2012 for the last time - before that it was in 2007. The song in a traditional balkan style with also some modern feelings will be the chance for Daniel to win the contest, what would be the first time for this former Yugoslavian country. Daniel won the first X Factor Adria in 2014; the balkan version of X Factor. In the jury there was also an other former and successful Eurovision participant, the serbian singer Zeljko Joksimovic. Interesting performance and very different from what they use to present. Very American this time! The Cheesecake performance is very well done, the song is not difficult to sing but because the other ex-soviet nations are in the first semi, Belarus has the risk of staying in this final. We'll see!
Very well done Switzerland! The song has it all: humour, good performance, whistles and violins! The only bad things is that SebAlter looks sometimes not that natural as he should! But he can fix it! It is a very complete performance!
Unfortnally, Macedonia will stay out from the final. A simple reason: the others are better! The choreography is very simple, Tijana is perfect while singing but this is a performance that won't cause a big impact in the viewers.

"A good song is the key to success in Eurovision"
End of august, the macedonian participant for 2014 were announced by MKRTV. With the internal selection of Tijana Dapcevic, MKRTV will once again send a famous and talented artist of the Balkans to Eurovision. Tijana, how she is called by her fans, is a experienced pop singer and a good musical performer. Tijana already tried to participate in Eurovision. Her first try to get a ticket to Eurovision was in 1996 with the song Ti Prostuvam (I forgive you) and the second one in 2002 with the song Izgrev (Sunrise). The last time Tijana tried to make it to Eurovision was in 2006, were she made a 8th place with the song Greh (Sin). But she had to wait until 2014 to get her own Eurovision Sun raising up and to get the ticket to Eurovision. For sure it isn't a sin to try it more than one time to go to Eurovision and for sure everyone will forgive her the unsuccessful tries before. Finally everyone will be wishing her the best for her performance in Copenhagen.
Eurovision on Top had the possibility to speak with Tijana about her participation and to get a chance to get to know Tijana a little bit better. Read now our exclusive interview to get all this information.
1. Tijana, how does it feel to be the artist for Macedonia 2014?
It feels great! I am very thrilled and proud to have a chance to represent my country in Copenhagen. It took four times to get my own ticket, but now I am really happy.
2. How and when did you heard that you would be representing Macedonia in Copenhagen?
I have received a call from MRT (Macedonian Radio Television) and they told me I’ve been chosen to represent Macedonia on ESC. Of course, I’ve accepted it without a doubt.
3. Tijana Dapcevic isn't known all over Europe. How would you introduce yourself? How would you describe the music you stand for?
I would describe myself as a musician, who has been in this business for many years and completely enjoyed every single minute of it. My music can’t be put into any specific genre because I like to experiment and I have songs in many genres. When people come to me to tell me what their favorite song of mine is, those are usually quite different ones. So, I guess everyone can find something for himself.
4. What should the people in Europe know about you? What is your biggest success? What is at your point of view your best song?
I have been on tour all around the Balkans and had a chance to sing for many people, but I think my biggest success is being able to stay in this business for so long. I am an entertainer, I like to make people happy. If my audience isn’t having a good time, I’m not having it, either. My best song? Let’s say it is “Negativ”.
5. In 2006 you already tried to go to Eurovision, at this time still for Serbia & Montenegro. Now you are the internal selection. What is now different, 7 years later?
Nothing specific. I think I had a good song back then, but obviously it wasn’t good enough for ESC at that time. I think that having a good song is the key to success in ESC.
6. You've been born in Skopje, now living in Serbia. Every year there are people criticizing, that the ex-jugoslavien countries are giving the points one themselves. Do you think the 12 points from Serbia are already save? And what to you think about this critic about the points?
There’s no hidden story behind that, it’s just because of diaspora. There are many Serbs in other countries of ex-Yugoslavia and vice versa. The same goes for other countries that compete in ESC. I hope I’ll get 12 points from Serbia.
7. Croatia is out this year. Would this make it more difficult for you, as you won't get points from this country?
I don’t think so. Like I’ve said, the good song is the most important. If you don’t have a good song, you can’t expect much.
8. Macedonia started in 1996 at the Eurovision and didn't have a big success in the past 17 years. The best ranking was a 12th place. What do you think is the reason for this?
I don’t know, really. It doesn’t have to mean anything for the future representatives. We will see.
9. Which of the passed macedonian entries is for favorite?
Tamara Todevska, definitely. She represented Macedonia with Adrijan and Vrcak in 2008. with the song called “Let me love you”.
10. Why are you participating at Eurovision? What is your goal? And what is your target?
My goal is to represent my country in the best possible way and to have a great time in such a huge competition. It’s going to be a new experience for me and I can’t wait to start packing.
Eurovision on Top thanks Tijana for the interview and missed the possibility to ask what Tijana is going to pack into the bag on the way to Copenhagen. But what ever Tijana's qualification will be at the end, Eurovision on Top is sure, that she will be able to pack on the way home the experience of an unforgettable week into her bag and also the unique possibility of getting known as a Big Balkan artist all over Europe.
The song of Tijana isn't known yet and Eurovision on top will update you, as soon, as MKRTV will announce further details about the song.
