Nana Mouskouri, The Common Linnets, Udo Jürgens and Ann Sophie
The 24th edition of the most important German Music Awards - the ECHO Music Awards (commonly known as the German Grammys) - took place in Berlin, Germany, at the Messe Berlin on 26 March 2015.
This was an unforgettable show for the Eurovision community since probably this was show where, in a most explicit way, the Eurovision world (old and new) was in an explicit hand in hand with the International Music scene.
Udo Jürgens, The Common Linnets, Nana Mouskouri and Ann Sophie were in the headlines.
After Amy Winehouse, Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston and Peter Alexander, Udo Jürgens was the name who was inducted into the Hall of Fame as the fifth ECHO artist.
One of the most emotional moments of the night was the performance tribute to Udo by Annett Louisan, Sarah Connor, Xavier Naidoo, Herbert Grönemeyer, Udo Lindenberg, Andreas Bourani, Roger Cicero (Germany 2007) und Adel Tawil.
The Common Linnets
The Common Linnets were nominated for "Best Pop / Rock International Band" with their debut album. They were nominated along with Pink Floyd, U2, Coldplay and Sunrise Avenue.
The Ducth band was also nominated for "Best International New Comer" along with George Erza, Kiesza, Lorde and Sam Smith.
While Pink Floyd won the first award with "The Endless River", The Common Linnets won the ECHO award for "Best New Comer International".... Funny fact: The awarded was handed to The Common Linnets by Elaiza (Germany, 2014).

One of the most important awards of the night was given to an International Eurovision name, Nana Mouskouri.
Nana was awarded with the "LEBENSWERK" award (translated as the "Lifetime Achievement Award").
Ann Spohie, the German representative at the next Eurovision Song Contest, performed her Eurovision entry "Black Smoke".
Will we see Ann Sophie at the list of ECHO winners by this time next year?
