Massimo Ranieri sings to Naples

Posted by Eurovision On Top on November 16, 2015 at 10:05 AM

It is now published "Malìa - Napoli 1950 - 1960" , the new album of Massimo Ranieri. Also available on vinyl since 23 October 2015, it includes twelve authentic jewels of the Napolitan music .

The term Malìa - magic, spell, charm, seduction - that gives the title track and that contains in its ancient meaning the very meaning of the whole project, it emerged from the text of "Te Voglio Bene Tanto Tanto" included in the disk.

Massimo Ranieri and Mauro Pagani , producer of the album, in this new stage of their long journey through the Napolitan song, they wanted five great jazz artists: Enrico Rava (trumpet and flugelhorn), Stefano Di Battista (alto and soprano sax) , Rita Marcotulli (piano), Stefano Bagnoli (drums) and Riccardo Fioravanti (bass).

This record is a surprising musical adventure through a magical time of Napolitan songs, when in the late fifties and in early sixties, melodies were filled in summer and eroticism, of nights and moons.

This is the tracklist:

  1. Accarezzame
  2. Nun E’ Peccato
  3. Tu Vo’ Fa L’Americano
  4. Doce Doce
  5. ‘Na Voce ‘Na Chitarra E ‘O PPoco ‘E Luna
  6. Ue Ue Che Femmena
  7. Malatia
  8. Luna Caprese
  9. ‘O Sarracino
  10. Anema E Core
  11. Te Voglio Bene Tanto Tanto
  12. Resta Cu’Mme
